Invites qualified individuals to apply for the
Promotions Coordinator
This position requires a very organized individual
with an interest in business, sales and promotions.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of Chamber of Commerce programs including the Minto First- Buy Local Campaign, Christmas Shopping Spree Promotion, Research Projects and Membership Recruitment.
The ability to work well with a Board of Directors
and local business owners is essential.
This position runs from December 14, 2009 – March 19, 2009
for a total of 35 hours per week.

The next phase of the Waterloo Wellington LHIN Consultation process will occur in Harriston on Dec 2nd (Wednesday). This is the follow-up to the meeting that was held last January and had about 400 people in attendance. The Rural Health Committee is going to present their findings from the previous consultations and research they have done.
It is imperative that we again get a large community turnout for this LHIN event to demonstrate the importance of our hospitals to our community and that there is no option for reduced services.

The STARS shine on Minto businesses |
Minto businesses cleaned up at this year’s STARS in business awards (Saugeen Territory Awards of Recognition and Success), announced at the gala awards evening on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex.
With eight nominees, Minto companies won top honours for company of the year (over 15 employees), company of the year (under 15 employees), entrepreneur of the year, corporate citizen of the year, and customer service excellence. Minto companies were runners-up in the company of the year (under 15) and corporate citizen of the year categories.
